Verand MCP In beta

Verand, inside the client you already use.

Add Verand as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client, authorise once, then ask about your own site in plain language. It drafts, refreshes and researches on the same allowance as the dashboard. It cannot publish. Ever.

How it works

Three steps, then you are talking to your own site.

01

Add the connector

Paste the server URL into your client's connector settings. No config file, no API key to store on disk.

Authorise once

You sign in on a Verand consent screen and grant the client your own account. Revoke it from settings whenever you want.

Ask in plain language

"Which pages are losing clicks?" "Draft the 1031 explainer." It answers from your own data and shows the tools it called.

Tools

The surfaces you already use, addressable by name.

Every tool maps to something the dashboard shows you. Read tools answer questions. The two write tools open a draft and stop there.

The same allowance, not extra capacity. An article drafted from your client is an article. A refresh is a refresh. The connector is a second door onto one account.

In the client

Ask in plain language. Read the answer with its receipts.

No prompt engineering and no export step. Ask what you would ask a colleague, and the client shows you which Verand tools it called to answer.

Every write stops at a draft

Drafts land in Verand, where the editor, the Report Card and the compliance gate work exactly as they always have.

The gate

A blocked draft is blocked here too, with the rule that blocked it.

The compliance gate is not a dashboard feature. It sits under the content, so it holds wherever you reach the content from.

You get the same readout you get in the editor: the rule id, the phrase that triggered it, the tier, and whether an override exists at all. Hard-tier rules have none, from any client, for anyone.

I cannot publish, and I cannot override a hard-tier rule. Fix the claim or open the article in Verand.
Security and permissions

One authorisation, revocable in a click.

Authorise once

You approve the connector on a Verand consent screen in the browser. There is no key to paste into a config file and no secret sitting in a repo.

Your own account, nothing wider

The connector reads exactly what your account reads: your organisation, your sites, your plan. It cannot reach another customer's data because your account cannot.

Revoke any time

Remove the connector in your Verand settings and the client loses access on the next call. No publishing rights exist to revoke, because none are ever granted.

Questions

What people ask before they connect.

What the connector does, what it refuses to do, and what it draws from your plan.

Which clients does it work in?

Any client that speaks MCP. We test Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code. Listings in the client directories are still to come, so for now you add the server URL yourself.

Can it publish?

No. Every write stops at a draft, and there is no setting that changes it. Publishing happens in Verand, by a person, after the compliance gate passes.

Does it come with extra capacity?

No. It draws on the same allowance as the dashboard. An article drafted from your client is an article, and a refresh is a refresh. The connector is a second door onto the same account, not a second account.

What happens when a draft is blocked?

The same thing that happens in the dashboard. You get Blocked, the rule id, the phrase that triggered it and the tier. Hard-tier rules cannot be overridden from anywhere. Review-tier rules need a written justification recorded against the article.

What can it read?

Only what you can already see in Verand: usage and caps, articles and drafts, gate readouts, site audit issues, opportunities, keyword and AI-visibility data, and topic research.

Is it finished?

It is in beta. It works in any MCP client today, and the tool surface will grow as the product does. Tell us what you asked it that it could not answer.
